ADMIRAL Joins Forces with Transport Research Centre Verne to Advance Logistics Emissions Reporting

On January 23, 2025, ADMIRAL had the privilege of participating in a high-impact workshop on logistics emissions data and reporting, organized by Transport Research Centre Verne and Vediafi Oy. The event gathered industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers to address challenges and opportunities in emissions calculation and reporting.

The workshop was a continuation of the LOLIPOP project (Business and emission reduction potential for logistics through emissions reporting), which concluded in spring 2024. Discussions revolved around the state of logistics emissions calculation, necessary future measures, and sector-wide challenges. Several key takeaways emerged:

Representing ADMIRAL at the event, Dr. Harri Pyykkö, Coordinator at VTT, shared valuable insights on freight transportation procurement, Scope 3 emissions calculation, electronic freight documentation, and the CountEmissionsEU initiative. These topics align closely with ADMIRAL’s mission to support data-driven sustainability efforts in logistics and supply chains.
